The congregation of Church of the Trinity identifies itself as a vibrant, caring, supportive spiritual community that offers a welcoming, safe, and affirming atmosphere to all.  The church is blessed with good leaders, both clergy and laity and has a strong commitment to outreach and community service. There is a strong spirit of volunteerism in this congregation.  The property of this church (grounds, facilities, buildings) has a special sacred quality.  We have identified our church as a program-size congregation and we are in the process of addressing the challenging and exciting adjustments necessary to embrace the future with enthusiasm.

By 2012, Church of the Trinity/MCC will become the spiritual, social, and cultural hub of our community.  This vision is congruent with ongoing plans for growth and enhancement of the spiritual worship and programming already offered for the development of the community’s spiritual and social needs. Specific dreams identified by the congregation include:

Breaking out of the box- offering alternative worship experiences;

Bursting out of the building-expanding our programs and activities to include straight allies, homeless, young people, people of color, the Hispanic community, and the elderly; and

Tearing down walls and building bridges-connecting in our community through intentional outreach.
