Our Past

Church of the Trinity began as MCC Sarasota/Bradenton in 1981 under the direction of the Rev. Ron Russell Coons. Rev. Robert E. Pierce became pastor in 1985 and church membership grew from fourteen to 150 prior to his retirement. Rev. T. Edward Helms was elected in June 1992. Under his leadership the church grew to nearly 200 in Sunday attendance. Rev. Gustave Kein was elected the church's fourth pastor in January 1996, and served until 2000. Rev. Elder Nancy Wilson served as pastor from 2001-2005. Rev. Dr. Mona West was installed on the 2nd of October 2005 and served as the senior pastor untill May 2008. Our current membership is 296.
